The third book in the Ramona series, and follows Ramona Quimby and her classmates going into first grade.
The series, which eventually had eight titles, had begun twenty years earlier with Beezuz And Ramona. This was followed in 1968 by Ramona The Pest. After Ramona The Brave, the next four Ramona titles appeared in quick succession: Ramona And Her Father [1977]; Ramona And Her Mother [1979]; Ramona Quimby Age 8 [1981]; Ramona Forever [1984]. Then there was a gap of fifteen years before the release of the last Ramona title, Ramona’s World [1999].

Anyone else read the Ramona the Brave books by Beverly Clearly in their childhood? First time I read one, my mom asked how it was. I told her that it was good but the older sister had a weird name: Beat-rice. My mom nearly choked on her food at supper.
