ACHUKA Book of the Day 5 Mar 2024
To me making a picture book is like writing a novel. Doing a board book is more like writing a poem. You have to fit a basic, but interesting story for a toddler into just seven spreads. Every word matters. I like to help myself with novelty aspects too.
Board books are children’s first introduction to literature and visual art.
Board books matter.

A peep-through board book adventure on the farm with Little Chick, illustrated by one of ACHUKA’s favourites, Petr Horácek.
Who can you find on the farm? Join Little Chick and peep through the cut-outs on each spread to spy a whole host of animals. And there is a very special someone waiting at the end of the book.
