Aimed at kids aged 4-12, families can physically step into the Pip’s Island fantasy world, entering the island via a tree portal, for instance, and later boarding a boat.
The hour-long experience allows children to embark on a series of ‘quests’ alongside a charismatic cast of characters, led by Pip.
PIP’S ISLAND: WHAT’S THE STORY?
Pip’s Island follows the history and adventures of a cast of characters who have one foot in our world and the other planted on a mysterious, faraway island.
Pip is a young would-be explorer whose sheer enthusiasm exceeds his experience. He has remained an optimistic soul, despite the vanishing of his explorer parents. He is desperate to break free from the restrictive world his aunt has kept him in and, somewhere within himself, he senses that a larger destiny awaits.
Pip is joined on his adventures by his best schoolfriend Finn – who is ruled more by his stomach than his sense of adventure – and the purple-haired Pebble, a child of the Island who is excitable, determined and a brilliantly skilled inventor of technologies.
Pip’s Island is the brainchild of New York-based siblings Rami and Rania Ajami.
They believe that the concept speaks to the needs of 21st century children by bridging the gap between the digital world they are readily immersed in and physical play.
