My hair colour: Brown-grey, curly (As a child I hated curls and used to go to bed wearing a hat, hoping to flatten them)
My eye colour: Brown, very short-sighted (When I take my specs off I can't see to find them)
My star sign: Libra (mine are up and down sort of scales, sometimes happy, sometimes sad)
My favourite book when child: The Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. When I was young I ate Enid Blyton books.
My favourite fictional character: Mr. Saucepan, from The Faraway Tree.

My ideal reading position: I like to read at breakfast... and at lunchtime... and in bed at night.
My usual means of marking a place in a book: Occasionally, and feeling guilty, I turn down the corner of a page, but I have quite a nice collection of bookmarks. Failing these, I use a piece of paper, or a paper clip.
My best time for working: I like to write in my dressing gown early in the morning and before breakfast, but with lots of coffee. In winter I have a very woolly dressing gown.

My favourite TV show: Eastenders
My favourite actor: I don't really have one because I get so involved in the story or film I forget they are actors.
My favourite savory food: I love toast and marmalade, toast and jam, toast and marmite, plain toast. And cheese.
My typical bedtime is: I always mean to go to bed early but somehow I rarely get there before midnight.
The tidiest place in my home is: I'm a very tidy person apart from books.
The untidiest place in my home is: I grow towers of books all over the place.
The creature comfort I would least like to do without: Well, at the moment I'm living away from home and most of all I miss my piano.
