Biographical Sketch

Colin McNauhgton was born on May 1st, 1951 in Wallsend-upon-Tyne, Northumberland. After school, which he did not enjoy, he took a Foundation Course in Art in Newcastle, then moved to London to study Graphic Design. His first books were published while he was doing an MA in Illustration at the Royal College of Art. Since then he has published over 70 books. The greatest influences on his work have been comics, annuals and Saturday morning cinema.
