Biographical SketchTheresa Breslin was born and brought up in a small town in Central Scotland called Kirkintilloch. She was educated in her home town and then at the University of Aston in Birmingham. She lives in Lenzie, a village right next to Kirkintilloch. Theresa comments, "I didn't move far!" She has worked as both a librarian and a writer. Her first published book was Simon's Challenge. Her prizes include Book Trust's Kathleen Fidler Award; Book Trust's
Best of the Decade; the Carnegie Medal; the Sheffield Book award, longer
novel category. And on she has been on various shortlists, including
the Angus, Lancashire, and Children's Book Awards. |
