Biographical Sketch

Alan Durant was born September 6th, 1958 in Sutton, Surrey--where he grew up, and where his parents still live (in the same house). He was educated at Collingwood Boys School, Wallington, Trinity School, Croydon and Keble College, Oxford (where he studied English). He has worked for CESDEL (School of spontaneous expression and language teaching), The Spastics Society (now SCOPE) and Walker Books, where he is currently senior copywriter.

He now lives in New Malden, Surrey, with his wife and three children.
