I'd like to bring the work of another illustrator to the attention of the ACHUKA audience. When I first saw Estrella's images I was convinced that she must have had some success with them in one or other commercial field, but apart from a small exhibition in her home town and the enthusiastic though confined fanbase she is building up on the Flickr website, the world is, apparently, unaware of her prodigious talent.
Whereas Lotte Klaver's work (which we shall of course continue to champion) strikes the viewer by virtue of its fluent draughtsmanship, Estrella's magical, mixed-media, dreamy images 'lead you back to the world of old story books read in childhood', to borrow the words of one Flickr fan.
