Brian Selznick's Children's Book Week Poster
from New York Daily News:
Brian Selznick, Caldecott winner and creator behind "The Invention of Hugo Cabret"(adapted into the beloved film "Hugo"), has illustrated the official poster for this year's [US] 94th annual Children's Book Week. The poster pays tribute to two legends of children's literature, Remy Charlip ("Fortunately," which has been in print for almost 50 years) and Maurice Sendak ("Where the Wild Things Are"). Both authors passed away in 2012. Selznick's poster is free to libraries and schools throughout April and May. Children's Book Week, the oldest continuous national literacy initiative in the United States, runs May 13-19.
