It is over 40 years since the original edition of Necklace of Raindrops by Joan Aiken first published, and to celebrate their reissue of this classic title (publishing in November), Jan Pieńkowski popped into the Random House Children's office to sign some copies.

Me too. That and The Kingdom Under the Sea. They live next to each other on an unreachable shelf in my house and are only taken down as treats.
Wonderful! I love that book, and the illustrations are ravishing. I have read those stories to so many children, so many times.
