Bisto Book of the Year nominees announced
The shortlist for the 16th Bisto Book of the Year Awards has been announced, with 10 authors in the running for the prestigious award for children's books in Ireland.
The nominees include Eoin Colfer for 'Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception', Oliver Jeffers for 'Lost and Found', Kevin Kiely for 'A Horse Called El Dorado', Gillian Lobel for 'Fancy That!' and Deirdre Madden for 'Snakes' Elbows'.
Also on the shortlist are Oisin McGann for 'Under Fragile Stone', Dairnine Ni Dhhonnchu for 'Briona ag Briongloidach', Eileen O'Hely for 'Penny The Pencil', John Quinn for 'Bill and Fred?' and Kate Thompson for 'The New Policeman'.
The winner will be announced May 31st.
