Anyone genuinely interested in (not to mention respectful of) writing for
young readers wouldn't ask the inane and insulting question Meg Sorenson
poses in her interview with Gary Disher: "Why is such an accomplished author
writing books for children and teenagers?" The two are hardly mutually
exclusive, as one might hope the children's book review editor of a major
newspaper might appreciate.
